I do believe that my entire life has prepared me for such a time as this. From navigating through the intersectionality of my race and gender while co-mingling equity and inclusion from multiple perspectives, I believe God's kingdom of grace is filled with unconditional love without borders or boundaries.

As a seminarian at Eden Theological Seminary, Dr. Cooper studied in India in 2003 as part of a cultural immersion requirement. She was paired with Minnie Sarah as student study partners. Intrigued with the caste system and racism similarities, Karla shared with Sarah the story of Richard Allen and the rest is AME history! The AME Church has presence on the continent of Asia with more than 160 churches, two Presiding Elder districts because of a dream Dr. Cooper shared in 2004 with Bishop John and Supervisor Rev Dr. Cecelia Williams Bryant.
